NYDT supports Early Childhood Development (ECDS) by advocating the community to start the learning centres for the children. These would include Day Care, Pre-primary and primary education.
NYDT believes that, early childhood development is the key to life development as long as the youth intellectual development and operation depends much on the basics mostly developed in early childhood.
NYDT channels in the national curricula and works to simplify the materials for easy implementation of materials for both teachers and learners.
NYDT works in tandem with all counterparts to maximize capacity building opportunities while implementing reforms, so that fast, innovative, measureable results are achieved alongside a stable foundation for accountability.
NYDT also works with disadvantaged people young people from poor families. Youths who cannot manage to pay school fees, those who had failed to join secondary education, and school dropouts such as girls who ceased their schools due to pregnancies are registered and taken to attend schooling under special programmes such as Qualifying Tests stage 1 and stage 2. Upon qualifying, they go for further studies. We set camps for supplementary tuition studies at the time schools break, to enable students from poor families get extra academic masterly capable for them to pass in satisfactory yet required standards. Both girls and boys enjoy the programme every year.
